Climate Change: Scientific Evidence or “Alternative Facts?”
Paul Mayewski, director and professor of the University of Maine’s Climate Change Institute, is an internationally renowned explorer and climate scientist who has led more than 55 expeditions into the most remote reaches of the planet to research how the climate system operates and how humans have been involved. He and his institute colleagues also are applying their scientific findings and newly developed software tools to allow transparent access to climate data and to build a new innovative framework for climate prediction. Mayewski also will discuss the emerging approaches to climate change and provide suggestions for public awareness.
