ensemble 4.1 has run into travel restriction issues and won’t be able to perform this concert. We are hoping to reschedule, so please keep your eye on this webpage for details.
FOUR wind soloists, keen to chamber music, and ONE pianist Thomas Hoppe devote themselves to a still undiscovered wonderful musical genre and the only “Piano Windtet” worldwide.
Their exceptional communicative power and their intoxicating atmosphere on stage are repeatedly praised by critics and have become the hallmark of ensemble 4.1. In addition to the masterpieces for this original setting by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, the ensemble is devoted to discovering rarely played compositions from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. After many years composers like Walter Gieseking, Theodor Verhey, Heinrich von Herzogenberg and David Stephen are again being performed for an enthusiastic public.
Here’s a sneak peek of this immensely talented group!
