What’s Interesting About This Concert
- Canadian violinist Blake Pouliot is taking the classical world by storm with his impeccable technique, modern style, and rich interpretationsof classic works
- Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite transforms the commedia dell’arte of the 17th century into a showcase for every instrumentalist on stage
- Haydn’s “Military” symphony derives its nickname from the second movement (and the end of the finale), which features prominent fanfares written for C-trumpets and percussion effects
