Where should I park for events?

Please use the Belgrade and CCA lots, located on the front side of the building.

I lost an item while at the Collins Center. How do I retrieve it?

All lost and found items are kept securely in our box office or administrative office. To find out if your item has been found, please call 207.581.1804.

Is food served at the Collins Center and can I take it to my seat?

Yes! Food and beverages are served at most events at the Collins Center and you are welcome to enjoy them at your seat. The Miller’s Café is located in our lobby and serves a variety of treats before the show and through intermission. Beer and wine are available at many events. Please note that a proper form of identification is required.

May I take pictures at the show?

For the safety of performing artists and to be accordance with contracts, cameras and recording devices are prohibited at most Collins Center events. Mobile phones and other electronic devices must be silenced or turned off. For the enjoyment of all of our guests, text messaging is not permitted during performances.

Do you have hearing devices for those with hearing difficulties?

Yes! Hearing devices are available for all Collins Center events. If you would like a hearing device during your visit, just ask our friendly staff upon your arrival.

Are ticket returns or exchanges permitted?

All non-subscriber ticket sales are final and may not be exchanged or returned. If you are a subscriber and would like to exchange your ticket, contact Sue Melvin, Assistant Box Office Manager at 207.581.1751.

Is smoking allowed at the CCA?

The University of Maine is a smoke-free campus. No tobacco use of any kind is permitted inside or outside of the Collins Center for the Arts. Electronic smoking devices are also prohibited.

I lost my ticket. What should I do?

To replace a lost ticket, contact our box office at 207.581.1755 or 800.622.TIXX. Please note that replacement fees may apply.

Is there a place to check my coat?

Coat check is provided at most CCA events by student organizations at the University of Maine. All donations from coat check services are intended to support these organizations and their respective missions.

Can I bring children and do they need tickets?

All individuals, regardless of age, must have a ticket to all Collins Center events. Please use your best discretion when considering bringing small children. Be sure to do your research on the show’s appropriateness prior to attending. If you have any questions as to whether a show is appropriate for children, contact our box office at 207.581.1755.

Can I meet my favorite artist?

Meet and greets are done in the lobby at the discretion of the artists. No one is permitted access backstage to meet with any artist without prior approval of the artist’s management.

If the weather is bad, do you cancel performance?

It is uncommon for Collins Center events to be canceled due to weather, though it may occur in extreme instances. Show cancelations will be announced on our website and social media pages. For the most up-to-date show cancellation notices, follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

I found tickets to your events through a third party source – are they real?

The Collins Center for the Arts can only guarantee the legitimacy of tickets purchased on our website and at our box office (in person or over the telephone). To ensure that the tickets that you are purchasing are real and that you are getting the best possible price, please only purchase tickets through our trusted box office.

If I cannot attend a concert and refunds are not issued, what do I do with my tickets?

Please contact the Box Office at 207.581.1755 to donate your tickets.

How do I get my UMaine Student Tickets?

Each student enrolled in six or more credit hours at the University of Maine gets two free tickets per semester to select shows at the Collins Center. To get your Student Tickets, simply bring your MaineCard to the Box Office between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Please note that this offer is not valid for all shows. I’m a student, but not at UMaine. Can I still receive a student discount?

We do occasionally offer discounts for K-12 and other non-UMaine students. Click here for Student Tickets.

Can I sit with my friends?

Of course! To ensure that you can sit with your friends, you can either place one order on our website that includes all of your desired seats, or you can call or visit our box office for personal attention.

What is the facility fee that is included in each ticket price?

Facility fees generally range from $2 to $5. Funds in this account are used for equipment upgrades and facility enhancements, such as new ticketing software and hardware and other improvements. This additional support ensures that the Collins Center will continue to thrive and offer the great programming you’ve come to expect!

What kinds of accessibility services are offered at the Collins Center?

We strive to accommodate all of our guests. If you require wheelchair-accessible seating or have other special needs, please contact the box office at 207.581.1755. Additionally, amplification headsets are available upon request at all performances. Accessible parking is available for those with handicapped permits.
