Broadway Rocks!

Join UMaine’s own Merritt David Janes, returning alum and acclaimed Broadway performer, along with his talented Broadway friends for an unforgettable afternoon of music, storytelling, and world class entertainment featuring real Broadway actors sharing songs and telling stories from the roles they have performed on some of the world’s most celebrated stages.

Merritt (DJ), a proud University of Maine graduate, has built a career performing on Broadway and across the country. Now, he brings that experience home as part of his acclaimed Broadway Rocks concert series, offering audiences a unique behind-the-scenes look at life on Broadway through the music and stories that have shaped his career.

This special event will also feature concert violinist Ashley Liberty with her husband, beloved Maine concert pianist Daniel Strange of Windham, Maine.

Throughout their remarkable careers, and in addition to multiple Super Bowl performances, they have performed alongside artists including Pharrell Williams, Hugh Jackman, Andrea Bocelli, Norm Lewis, and many others!

Also joining Merritt, Dan and Ashley, will be a group of Broadway performers and very talented friends that have performed with Merritt throughout the many shows over his 20 year Broadway career.

Expect beloved Broadway songs, stunning musicianship, inspiring stories, plenty of laughter, and that spark that only live performance can bring.
