A Far Cry

A Far Cry is a Grammy-nominated, Boston-based chamber orchestra known for its collaborative approach and adventurous programming. This program features Copland’s iconic Appalachian Spring in its original 13-instrument version—a work that captures the spirit of American optimism and landscape. Also included are Shelley Washington’s SAY, a bold and contemporary expression of voice and identity, and a chamber arrangement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral,” a timeless ode to nature.
